Shant chapter was established in 1993, by a few members of the community who wanted to bring the Homenetmen mission to Crescenta Valley. Now, as one of the largest in the region, Shant chapter instills the virtues of intellectual, physical, spiritual and civic strength in all of its members.
Led by a volunteer executive committee, the chapter’s two main branches (Scouting and Athletics) live up to the Homenetmen motto, “Elevate Yourself and Others With You.”
Through athletic events, scouting activities, community services and seminars, members learn teamwork, good citizenship, leadership, the culture and history, thus developing in themselves the confidence and the values that drive individual, organizational, and community growth.
